| Pack Committee Chairman This individual conducts a monthly leaders meeting to help plan Pack 142’s program. This individual ensures that adequate support to run the program is given to the Cubmaster and den leaders by committee members. Such support includes recruiting and selecting leaders, finding meeting places, keeping records, managing pack finances, purchasing awards, maintaining pack equipment, and training and recognizing leaders. Treasurer This individual collects, deposits, accounts for, and disburses Pack 142’s funds. This individual maintains financial records in sufficient detail to allow for preparation of a pack budget and to provide monthly financial reports to the pack committee, Cubmaster, and den leaders. Advancements Chairman This individual orders, purchases, prepares certificates for, packages for distribution, and keeps records of awards earned by the scouts of Pack 142. A trip to the Scout Store in Bethesda, Maryland is required approximately once per month. Pack Trainer This individual conducts orientation for new families and pack leaders. This individual trains new leaders for their specific positions or encourages participation in district training. The pack trainer encourages pack leaders to attend ongoing training, such as monthly roundtables and biannual youth protection training, and conducts other training as required. The pack trainer keeps training records. The pack trainer needs to be trained in a district or council Trainer Development Conference, and also needs be trained in any specific topic before teaching it. Secretary This individual keeps the minutes of the monthly pack meeting, and produces and keeps records of any other correspondence deemed necessary by the Cubmaster or Committee Chairman. Membership Chairman This individual runs the pack’s Join Scouting Nights and Spring Membership Roundups. This includes coordinating pack attendance at open houses, advertising the events, getting forms and materials to support the events, maintaining a database of potential scouts and leaders, and following up with such prospects. Adult Leader and Volunteer Recognition Coordinator This individual coordinates the recognition of adult leaders and volunteers. Duties include nominating and obtaining approval of the pack committee to recognize a leader or adult volunteer; submitting, tracking status, and obtaining recognitions for leaders at the District, Council, and/or National level; and identifying, creating, making, purchasing, and/or presentation of awards to adults at the Pack level. Pack Committee Members These individuals attend the monthly pack leaders meeting to help plan and support the pack’s program. |

| Chartered Organization Representative This individual is a member of St. William of York Church and serves as the liaison between St. William of York Church and Pack 142. Duties include approving Pack leadership, assisting with meeting places, and keeping Pack 142 within the guidelines and policies of both St. William of York and the Boy Scouts of America. Cubmaster This individual is the leader of Pack 142. He or she conducts the monthly pack meeting and aids den leaders by coordinating a monthly program for all leaders. The Cubmaster also attends the monthly Pack leaders meeting. Assistant Cubmaster This individual(s) assists the Cubmaster in running Pack 142 and prepares to take over as Cubmaster if the incumbent cannot continue. |

| Tiger Cub Den Leader This individual coordinates shared leadership among the Tiger Cub adult partners. This ensures den meetings and outings are planned, prepared for, and conducted by all adult partners on a rotating basis and den activities provide advancement opportunities for the boys in the den. This individual serves as den host for family members at pack meetings and attends the monthly pack leaders meeting. Cub Scout Den Leader This individual prepares for and leads weekly meetings of about one hour in length with a den of six to eight boys. The den meeting is held in the den leader’s home, at St. William of York, or at another suitable place. The den leader determines the time, day, and location of the den meeting that is most convenient for him or her. The den leader attends the monthly pack leaders meeting. Webelos Den Leader Duties are the same as the Cub Scout Den Leader, but the Webelos den leader works with 4th and 5th grade boys. The Webelos leader encourages parent/son overnight campouts and attends the monthly pack leaders meeting. Assistant Den Leaders These individuals assist the leaders of the dens to which they are assigned and prepare to become den leaders if the incumbent den leader cannot continue. |

Newsletter Editor This individual produces and distributes the monthly pack newsletter. Distribution includes electronic distribution (with paper copies for those who request one). Pack Webmaster This individual designs and maintains current the pack web site, ensuring that the pack web site complies with Boy Scouts of America standards. This individual also maintains records of permissions for the publication of the contact information for pack leaders. Scrapbook Coordinator This individual coordinates the taking of photographs, purchase of supplies, and the assembly of the annual pack scrapbook. Publicity Coordinator This individual coordinates the writing and release of information about Pack 142 activities to the press, including local newspaper and radio stations and scouting newspapers such as the Scouter Digest. This individual also maintains records of parental permissions for the use of scout images for pack publicity. |

| Pinewood Derby Coordinator The Pinewood Derby is Pack 142’s biggest race of the year. This individual coordinates all aspects of the event, including kit purchase and distribution; rules development, approval, and distribution; prize selection, ordering, purchase, and distribution; race track set up and storage; race results automation, tracking, projection, and storage; and the concession stand during the race. Raingutter Regatta Coordinator This individual coordinates all aspects of the Raingutter Regatta, including kit purchase and distribution; rules development, approval, and distribution; prize selection, ordering, purchase, and distribution; race track set up and storage; race results tracking and recording; and the concession stand during the race. Space Derby Coordinator This individual coordinates all aspects of the Space Derby, including kit purchase and distribution; rules development, approval, and distribution; prize selection, ordering, purchase, and distribution; race track set up and storage; race results tracking and recording; and the concession stand during the race. Cubmobile Derby Coordinator This individual coordinates all aspects of the Cubmobile Derby, including overseeing Cubmobile construction by the dens; rules development, approval, and distribution; prize selection, ordering, purchase, and distribution; race track set up and storage; and race results tracking and recording. |

| Religious Emblems Coordinator This individual publicizes and supports scouts who desire to work on the religious emblems associated with their scouting level and religious faith. Blue and Gold Dinner Coordinator This individual coordinates all aspects of the pack’s Blue and Gold dinner, the annual Cub Scout birthday celebration. Activities to be coordinated include planning, purchasing, preparing, and serving the meal; arranging for entertainment; setting up and cleaning up the facility used for the dinner; and coordinating with the District Friends of Scouting coordinator for the annual Friends of Scouting presentation. Crossover Ceremony/Cook Out Coordinator This individual coordinates the pack’s annual crossover ceremony and cook out. Activities to be coordinated include reservation of the Lunga Lake Big Oak pavilion, planning, purchase, and preparation of the food and drinks, set up and clean up for the ceremony and cook out, and reservation of the Order of the Arrow to perform the ceremony. Hike Coordinator This individual coordinates the pack’s involvement in council or district hiking events, such as the Night Hike and Ten Commandments hike. Christmas Caroling Coordinator This individual selects and leads the pack’s annual Christmas caroling program, conducted at a local assisted living facility. Service Project Coordinator This individual coordinates the pack’s participation in council, district, and local service projects, such as Scouting for Food, the Memorial Day Luminaria, and service projects for St. William of York. |

| Cub World Camp Coordinator This individual coordinates all aspects of Pack 142’s attendance at the Council Cub World Camp in Haymarket, Virginia, for Tigers, Wolves, and Bears. This includes reserving space and a time at the camp; publicizing the camp; arranging for the district to make a summer camp presentation at the Pinewood Derby; distribution, collection, and turn in of registration, permission, and medical forms; collection and turn in of camp payments; recruitment and coordination of parent volunteers and leaders to attend camp with the boys; developing and executing a program during the week of the camp; and collecting, transporting, and returning attendees and equipment to and from the camp. Day Camp Coordinator This individual coordinates all aspects of Pack 142’s attendance at the Aquia District Day Camp. This includes publicizing the day camp; arranging for the district to make a summer camp presentation at the Pinewood Derby; distribution, collection, and turn in of registration, permission, and medical forms; collection and turn in of camp payments; and recruitment and coordination of parent volunteers to walk with the boys during the day camp. Goshen Camp Coordinator This individual coordinates all aspects of Pack 142’s attendance at the Council Goshen Webelos Resident Camp. This includes reserving space and a time at the camp; publicizing the camp; arranging for the district to make a summer camp presentation at the Pinewood Derby; distribution, collection, and turn in of registration, permission, and medical forms; collection and turn in of camp payments; recruitment and coordination of parent volunteers and leaders to attend camp with the boys; developing and executing a program during the week of the camp; and collecting, transporting, and returning attendees and equipment to and from the camp. Pack Camp Out Coordinator This individual coordinates all aspects of Pack 142’s Overnighter Pack Camp Out. This includes reserving a camp site; publicizing the camp; getting the required permit from Council; distribution, collection, and turn in of permission and medical forms; collection and turn in of camp payments; recruitment and coordination of parent volunteers and leaders to attend camp with the boys; developing and executing a program during the camp; and collecting, transporting, and returning attendees, food, and equipment to and from the camp. |

| Popcorn Kernel This individual(s) runs the pack’s annual popcorn fundraiser. Duties include obtaining and distributing sales order forms, arranging for booth sales locations, collecting order forms and associated payments, ordering, storing, and distributing popcorn, and supporting booth sales. Flower Bulb Fundraiser Coordinator This individual coordinates the pack’s annual flower bulb sales to raise money to help with the cost of scout summer camps. Duties include obtaining and distributing sales order forms, collecting order forms and associated payments, ordering, storing, and distributing the flower bulbs. |
